When you start your day with the right intention then you have a greater chance of having a successful day.
Your morning is crucial in this process why is why we want to teach you how to create a morning routine and, most importantly, stick to it.
Why Having a Morning Routine is Important
Get up on the wrong side of the bed is a common expression when someone is in a grumpy mood.
While this expression was based on superstition in ancient Rome, it still holds some truth in modern society.
When we start our day the right way, we build momentum for the rest of our day creating a greater chance of accomplishing your goals, completing tasks, and being productive.
So, how you do create a morning routine?
1. Sleep On Time, Wake Up Early
The idea of waking up at the crack of dawn isn’t a new concept but has recently become highly famous due to Robin Sharma’s book—The 5 AM Club.
Many of the most successful people in the world will wake up at the same time a college student will get home on Fridays.
This dedication to early morning has often been an important element of their success because it brings more focus.
In a world with so many distractions, focus is our biggest commodity.
By waking up at a time most people are still asleep, you have the tranquility to do the deep inner work so you can perform better throughout the day.
2. Start with Exercise and/or Quiet Time
Starting with exercise ensures that you work your brain to regulate your hormones so you create energy within yourself.
Then spend time alone, in silence, to reflect and think.
Whether that is by meditating, journaling, or planning your day. This is the time to get clarity!
3. Learn
We’re sometimes so busy during the day that we forget about growing.
Learning new things, being curious, mastering our craft.
Take the early morning, after you’ve done your exercise and had a moment of solitude, to focus on growing.
Instead of complaining about not having enough time to read or take a course, take this time instead to focus on your education.
Whatever that may be for you.
4. Create a Habit
Be in love with the grit, that’s the key to building a habit.
Habits are formed when you push through the moments where you simply want to snooze the alarm, skip the exercise, and sleep in until 8 am.
You must challenge yourself to build a character of someone who sticks to the promises you make with yourself.
Push through, enjoy each of the moments, and be proud every day you’re able to wake up.
Most importantly, remember that you deserve to have a great day and this is the path to greatness.
So, put your alarm at 5 AM. Put your phone on Airplane Mode to remove distractions in the morning. Then when the alarm goes off, count down from 5 to 0 and launch yourself from your bed like a skyrocket. Feel the difference at the end of the day.
